PopularDefensive Driving (On line)Adult EnrichmentLearn evasive skills & other accident prevention measures in the classroom (not on the road). Participants must attend both nights. Those 55 & older receive a 10% discount on your insurance. Please bring your driver's licenses. Classes will be held on via Zoom virtual technology. A training link will be forwarded to participants. Workbooks will be available for pickup at the ROCORI District Education Facility the week before the program. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. Explore the art of wine making with this easy to follow class. Learn the basics of fermentation and make a one gallon batch of home made wine. You will receive all of your supplies and start the fermentation process during one in person class. You will then follow up with a series of zoom calls during your wine making journey. From start to finish, your wine will take about 30 days. Just in time for Mother's Day. ** Due to short supplies of wine making kits, prices will be emailed to registered participants in early March. Self Defense for WomenAdult EnrichmentAre you not feeling as safe as you once did? Would you like to learn some real, effective, life-saving, techniques? In this introductory course, you will get a basic understanding of the psychology of attacks and defenses. You will find out how to avoid on coming actions, get out of chokes, release arm grabs and how to apply simple effective counter actions to an opponent. In addition to this, you will learn how to use a simple self-defense device called a KUBOTAN that you can legally carry with you as you go about your day, which can greatly magnify your ability to defend yourself.
