Student holiday showcase performance to be held late December.

 Fall/holiday dance session begin Wednesday, Sept.2nd through December 19.

 Classes held at the ROCORI DEF studio space.

 Children should be specified age by 9/1; girls and boys welcomed, ages 3 – 18.

 Shoe fitting night: Wednesday, Sept 2nd 6:45pm-8pm for those purchasing shoes through CPA.

 Director/primary instructor holds a college degree in dance education, and our Jazz and kids Jazz Hip Hop teacher is an experienced longtime dancer of CPA. 

 Most holiday show costuming is a rental through CPA. 

Monday Classes:

Elementary Dance Grades 2-3 (Beginning ballet and tap) Mondays 4pm – 5pm | DEF Multipurpose room (This class qualifies for the multi class discount when registering also for Kids Jazz Hip Hop).

Multi Class Combo for Grades 1-5 Mon/Tues (Elementary Ballet/Tap on Mondays, and Kids Jazz Hip Hop on Tuesdays) Multi Class Discount

Class Descriptions: Ages pre-school – 1st Grade: These age appropriate dance levels engage children with the basics of pre- ballet terminology taught in a creative manner that allows dancers to grow and explore through creative movement while gaining foundational dance structure. You will see your dancer flourish in motor skills, balance and grace, as they dance through creativity, rhythmic movement, imaginative stories and simple dances which opens the doors to expressiveness and imaginational growth. Rhythmic sounds and patterns are studied with the introduction of basic tap steps in an artistic manner for younger children, then progress to fundamental tap technique as students mature from year to year.

Elementary Levels 2nd – 7th : Students will explore the fundamentals of classical ballet basics and expand on technique through each class age level, gaining skill in execution of steps, body placement, balance and vocabulary. Ballet Technique Wednesday class, is encouraged for upper grade levels as a second class, where dancers can grow even further in skill and strength. Tap technique for elementary grade students builds upon class level which progresses year to year. Combo Class grades 4-7 will also introduce to the dance styles of jazz, lyrical, and character. 

Ballet Technique Class and Pointe/Pre-Pointe: Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles. This class is rooted in the classical ballet technique of the Vaganova syllabus and Cecchetti variations. Dancers will gain strength, flexibility, balance, skill execution, endurance, and knowledge expansion of body placement and ballet vocabulary. Students will also grow in ballet and jazz skills for turns, leap, and jump. Without ballet you lose the foundation needed for other dance styles, as it all starts with body placement and control. Pre-Pointe/Pointe class is an extension of ballet. Thus ballet class is required in order to move into Pre-Pointe/Pointe class.

JV/ HS Jazz and Tap Classes: Older students will grow in technique progressions of various steps and styles, execution of leaps and turns, combinations for center and across floor skills, along with a more advanced tap technique where dancers really grow as a tapper. 

15% Discount Families taking 3 hours or more a week of classes qualify for a 15% discount off of their total registration cost. Already discounted classes do not apply for an additional discount, such as Multi Classes (Combo Class along with Ballet Technique).
